Finally got my Macbook Pro

Only one problem being I didnt actually factor in that it wasnt a PC, so after years and years of using pc's only i fear its going to be a bit more of a task ditching my old pc habits before i'm a full mac expert.

Only took me about a week to get used to it after like 10 years of shitty pcs. Pretty intuitive and you'll find a lot of Cntrl + ... are replaced with Command + ... so short cuts are a pretty easy learning curve.
Other than that, enjoy. And don't be surprised that in 3 years time it works the same as it does now, only bad thing is excuses for upgrades get a bit scarce!

Dave i love this quote... The one thing you didnt factor in when buying a Mac is that it isnt a PC...

I think think the one thing most people buy Macs for is because they arent PCs.

am i the only one that gets irked at the "mac vs pc" thing?

pc is a personal computer. a mac is a type of pc. windows is an os on a pc.

that being said, just let your brain relax while using the mac. things are much easier to do. installs are quicker, reboots are fewer, and navigation through the file system grows on you. definitely search for a few "must have" mac apps, as there are several threads with many gems in them.
