X1, true plug and play and a really solid controller. The part I love most about it is the feedback you get from the buttons. You don't even have to look at computer to know if an FX is on and the hot cue system is well thought out.

you get more out of the X1 and it's pure plug and play. 40.00 is hardly enough to make me think about the 1D.

I have both of em. One important thing is that I throw the X1 in my bag whenever I want. That is a whole other story for the 1D. It is a lot bigger, heavier and clunkier. Other than that it's just the preference of controller layout.

X1 for sure, its integration with traktor is definitely better.

Also I believe it was Karlos who stated this in another thread, the X1 is perfectly suited for the upcoming Traktor S4/TSP Sampler update. If you don't own an S4 you could simply map the FX region of the X1 to control your samples. 4 Sample banks per deck + the X1's FX section is a very easy configuration that someone will almost immediately create a mapping for once the Sampler update is available.

$150 is a pretty good price for a 1D though...

+1, but I think I'm still leaning towards the X1
