    Default cdj850 or dns3700 ?

these are both the same money and wondered which one gives more bang for buck, i know cdjs are industry standard but the 3700 have that new firmware update.

Also the 850s are not fully supported in serato or traktor properly yet.

Im going to hook them up to a s4 or a denon x1600/ni x1 mixer have not decided what mixer route to go yet.

Currently i have vci100 and sl1210s and traktor.

Also considering not gettign the x1 and keeping the vci100 for effects.

Descisions descisions.. I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions

denon dns 3700! my friend has one and he loves denon. cdj 850 looks great but i think denon put more on dns 3700 than pioneer on cdj 850. buy x1 for efects

Still thinking So if i get the x1600 and the x1 that should cover the sampler update on traktor pro or are thay going to make an x2 with the extra knobs and buttons.

Maybe i should wait till the s4 is out to see what else is on the horizon

s4 looks way too plastic for me. i am thinking getting korg zero 4 or x1600 and then x1. did you see denon dmc 6000 it can works also as a standar mixer without computer for real good price

I'd play with the S4 in the store before you say it "looks too plastic."

It's the same build quality as the X1. So if the X1 isn't "too plastic" then I doubt the S4 will be.

But CDJ's are a different animal than a straight MIDI controller. Personally I really just don't see a benefit of getting CDJ's and using a DVS over a controller unless you actively are playing at clubs that use CDJ's and need the practice on them.

I've been mixing on sl120s for 20 years or so guess cdjs are pretty same pitch wise so maybe i don't really need any... I can alway use time code on the technics to practice i guess. I've never used cdjs but used controllers a lot so pretty much same i guess?

I'll have to find a store in the uk after november 1st to see but all the people that saw it at th uk bpm show said it was a solid bit of kit with close to cdj type feel on jogs
