    Default Recommendation for mixer

Hello! I'm fairly new to DJTT, but this seems like it could be the place for a question such as this

I'm thinking of purchasing a mixer for permanent use on one of the dance floors at the club I'm working at. The main purpose of it is to act as a step between a computers sound card and the eq/amps. If a DJ brings his own gear and has a sound card that by default outputs a signal at maximum level the volume can get insanely (as in possible ear damage) high, should he forget to turn down the master volume in the software. Having a mixer should provide more control. The secondary purpose is to enable two DJs to play after another without downtime, or switch back and forth.

Thinking about it I don't actually remember if the eq also works as a limiter... anyway, I'm quite simply wondering if you have any recommendations for a small mixer. It doesn't have to be fancy, don't need more than two channels, just need to be durable and of good quality.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Just throwing this out there, but from what I've seen a Xone: 22 is a pretty solid 2 channel mixer that might be perfect for your setup. Good sound quality, and nothing really "special" or extra that you wouldn't need.

Searching yielded mostly talk about higher end 4-channel mixers. Thanks for the tip about the Xone 22 though, it looks good and I will definitely consider it.

May I suggest the DJ Tech Mixer One it's great for digital DJs as it has a USB hub built right into it. It is also fairly cheap I just picked one up brand new for 150$

Mixer One doesn't do what the op wants, it's only a USB device not an analogue audio mixer which is what they're after. something like this: no frills.

Xone 2:02. Some people hate the way they look but for $299 it is a steal.
