I think for Traktor the S4 is hands down the best choice. You can use Traktor with the DX, but you don't quite get everything because it was designed for Itch. Plus it's considerably less expensive.

Get an S4 and buy the entire djtt community a round with the cash you saved not buying the DX

I have a DX and I really like it. I would be curious to see how good the sound card in the s4 is. If you are going to switch completely away from itch, then i would suggest the s4. If you are planning on using both (like myself), then you won't be disappointed with the DX. I have added the DX fully mapped in Traktor and it works *almost* as good as it does with itch. Solid effects and hotcue control is the only thing missing, and a X1 solves that problem easily. Either way, they are both awesome pieces of kit and you won't be disappointed.
