    Default The sociopath partygoer?! (OT)

Well... I have been feeling this for quite a while and maybe Im going crazy or getting old but this is more or less whats happening.

I have been going out clubbing since I was like 15 and now im 29. It's been almost 15 years of great times making friends etc but as of lately I cant really tell why Im developing these feeling for the clubbing environment... Before getting to the venue I get anxious, like Im about to get interviewed. Thinking about millions of things that could go wrong. Even when I get to my clubbing friends they all seem to be "like always" have been and I have been going out with them for almost as long for the same kind of venues.

Then when I get to the club It's like I feel someone want to fuck my night and dare I say feeling almost hateful and taking things personal with maybe an shoulder bump or a little spilled drink (few drops) on my leather jacket. It's like I'm in the need to watch my back and pretty much not enjoying the moment. I used to be very careless and meeting lot of people every night up until maybe February this year but things have changed a lot since then to the worse.

So my questions would be, is this normal? Do I need a break? I may go clubbing one a week to 2-3 different spots. Has anyone felt the same? It there a way of thinking to trigger when this negative vibes are happening?

    tl;dr
Can going out to club be stressful? If so, how to make it not stressful?
    Erase. Stop. Start.

    It's called MDMA, dude

But on a somewhat more serious note: really, just take a break. If the pary isn't worth the hangover, then just don't go (to loosely quote one of the most wisdom packed movies of all time - Human Traffic), and it certainly doesn't sound like your having loads fun in the clubs right now. Just chill out for a while and only attend the parties which you reasonably deem potential highlights beforehand (for whatever reason - be it the music or the people, both in my opinion being equally important for a good club night). The fun will come back (fingers crossed) - and then there's always my first advice.

Its cuz you a professional Clubber now....

Its like your job.....and if it is not the way you like it....its not ON!

I have a similar issue....that I can;t let loose at the club or parties.

Somehow....for some reason....i have the need to be the most level headed....sober one there.

    Control issues i guess.

I get this issue that whenever I am at a popping club I feel like that I should be DJ'ing and I focus on what the DJ is doing way to much. I often get jealous and feel like that I can do better.....

But I am a person with a mind that goes a mile a minute and all I think about is DJ'ing and events and getting better technique, new equipment, ahha all of the above.

hit up the gym before going clubbing, that works for me

i feel very violent when i don't go to teh gym for a couple days. especially no patience for some dumbfeck making some skanky moves or cracking a stupidass ignorant joke. i imagine pummeling his face until it wasn't a face any more, now thats more funny! and no, that doesn't make me a sociopath partygoer, just a human trying not to drown in a sea of idiots
