Thanks guy's for the peace of mind, was unsure of a laptop that old.
10.5 is Leapord, 10.6 is Snow Leapord, and 10.7 is Lion and was announced today. There were some decent changes from 10.5 to 10.6, but nothing real major. You can buy a 10.6 upgrade disc for $29 from Apple though so it's cheap enough to go ahead and do it.

That $29 is a full install to so I would recommend starting from scratch.

    Thanks for your help guy's

One more probably really dumb question

all my music and pictures I save on my external hard drive from windows 7, will they be able to transfer easily to Mac OS or is there a trick and possibly a headache coming up?

    Cheers

NTFS formatted drives are Read only in OS X. You can copy from the drive but not to it.

I heard macs do not support porn.

edit: at least not heterosexual porn.

Those macs max(macs) out at 4gb ram. can't do six. RAM is faster in matched pairs, consider going to 4gb, wipe hard drive, give it a clean. Snow leopard, maybe a new battery, and it'll be friggen awesome
