Default Some help for a newbie

I used to mix with a pair of Tech1200's and a stanton mixer at underground stuff and house parties years ago. Now with a new dell laptop I'm getting digital and have a few questions about which is the best mixer/software to get for a guy on a budget. Any new info would be good. The dell has 4gb ram, 500gb HD new intel i3 core at 2.4ghz.

There is a lot of stuff to look at and I'm torn between the rmx herccules and a numark omni. My dell does not have a dedicated soundcard. But the processor with that ram should be able to handle stuff.

I haven't used either one, but I think I read better stuff about the Hercules. Both are good beginner controllers though.
