Default Another "how'd he do that" thread- Afrojack Bangduck

I'm hearing the glitched sounding synth a lot in dance songs now a day. Anyone know how exactly they're doing this?

Specifically the dope melody in the beginning.

In het begin was er Jack.

    Lovin it!

Edit: After having listened through this song, and getting a smile on my face, this song finally got me to respect Afrojack a bit more. All his other track just sound way too similar to me.

Also, if anybody would like a translation of the lyrics, let me know

It's just the "Jack" sample in another langauge isn't it?

Edit note: and I hate that Jack sample it's so lame, seriously I wish David Guetta would use it so it will die.

I use Ableton Live, but I'm sure it's possible in most other applications.

Write out a synth line you want to glitch and press the little "E" button in the bottom right corner of the Clip box. This'll open up your envelope view. Now press the "Pitch Bend" button. When the pink line is going right down the center of your clip, it's at the normal pitch. Double click to add anchor points around the note you want to glitch, then create another anchor point between them and drag it up or down. Should look something like this in the end:
