    Default Nervous about house party

My friend asked me to DJ tomorrow at his Halloween party. I'm pretty anxious about it though. I mainly spin house/tech house so I have put together a collection of tracks that I saw would be fitting for Halloween. I've asked him to give me a list of some songs that he'd like to hear so I could get an idea of what he's expecting. I'm nervous that I'll be unprepared with the wrong music. What if I get there and no one is digging it?

you could follow danny tenaglia's advice...which goes something like:

first play all the classics (in terms of halloween, mj - thriller is a given). girls love stuff they can sing along to.

then start to play the big tunes once people start getting into it...

    then pull out your surprises

just make sure you look like your enjoying yourself as well. Try to look as least nervous as possible, it'll reflect to the crowd

What else would you say is a good list of songs to play. Of course I got thriller. But none other pop off the top of my head.

Totally agree with this one..If you play your tracks and sprinkle in some classics every 3-4 songs you should be good. I really like to mash up pop/rap vocals over electro house tracks.
