Cool new tune - your opinion would be welcome

    Hey everyone!
Hope you're all feeling good after the weekend.

Was just wondering where people could give views on a tune we just made (we are DJ producer duo Sao Paulo Punks).

It's pretty strange right after finished making a tune because I honestly can't tell if it's good anymore. However, this one does have a good chorus hook so I'd like to know what everyone thinks.

By the way, I hope it's ok if I ask your opinion on this thread.
    The one we just made is here;

For another tune upcoming release check here:

This is absolutely not self promotion but I really want your honest feedback as I just don't have neutral ears about our own stuff.
    Would appreciate any feedback.

    Cheers fellas

    Default feedback

Reminds me of Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode...
A fatter beat would make it better I think, but that's my opinion..

Vocal reminds me of a Gorillaz track, feel good inc. Pretty cool vibe

Agree with the comment about louder drums BUT that might just be youtubes compression screwing it up, youtube is a really horrible way to share sound
Get a soundcloud link up FTW.

Flip side of that is the video of course, which is a pretty cool 2!

Not to bad although I agree with the other guys, a fatter beat with maybe some bigger builds and drops and you will have a winner.

Hey I really appreciate your honest feedback everyone. Taken on board about making it fatter beats and climaxes. It is a bit of a case of youtube with it's compression but we can't complain as it's free

    Here is the soundcloud link:
    http://soundcloud.com/saopaulopunks/booth-girl

Other tunes/mixes up there for free download (some of them) if you like. Let me know if you want something, I can make it downloadable.

Otherwise, the verse lyrics my friend:

"When I'm in my booth I'm busting out tracks
A little time for drinking and that is that
I'm already hammered but keeping it together
Another rum and coke and I'm gonna be leathered

Booth girl's serving me like I'm king of the town
People are dancing to the tunes I put down
Boppin' like crazy makes me lose my track
Suddenly I find I'm staring straight at her rack"

There are a number of one off vocals like "show me yer ass" and "I've been going parties for plenty of years".

I did more verses but didn't want too many vocals in there.

This was inspired by a huge house party in Paris I DJed at. At first, people thought I was some random cheese asking for my tune to be played. When they realised I was actually gonna play, suddenly I was the centre of attention. It was great Suddenly all this vodka was produced and 2 girls protected me from the avalanche of cheeseballs trying ask me to play crap music. By the end I was nicely drunk.

    Appreciate your comments fellas
