    Default KS4 alternative...

    Has anyone considered buying:
    2 x denon dnsc 2000 £209 (£418)
    1 x numark m6 usb mixer (£149)
1 x TSP 45% off if you really want to scratch (£249) (or just using existing TP software that you prob already own if not?)
total price - £567 or £816 (whic you can prob negotiate a discount on i guess)

or denon mc6000?? £679 (plus software as above £249)

only asking as the KS4 seems really cool but wondering what people think of the alternatives ??

There is no alternative. You must assimilate and join the collective.

I preordered a pair of the Denon SC2000's which I plan to use with my DNS-X120. I believe they're the same size as the dns1200's so I should be able to get a flight case to fit it all in fairly easily.

I'm thinking of the exact same thing Kerr, except I'll be using my existing mixer(Tascam X9) I'm actually considering TSPro & MC6000 as it should let me have the best of both worlds, external mixing when I want to and a compact all in one with just the MC6000. Just waiting to read a review, the only review I've found on the SC2000's is in Swedish or Norwegian.

@djpbe - that'd be cool set up .. guessing the thing would be to use decks c/d as sample decks you;d need the nk ms6 for the 4 dk channel?

I've owned Denon products in the past and they're always solid. It's just the little things I wonder about, pitch bend rampup, tactile feel of the button's... I just have to find a place to play with both the SC2000 & MC6000.

Yeah I really fancy a pair of these with the X1600 mixer, but the price is about £500 more than a KS4 and I'm struggling to justify it really.
