Default gamepad mapping xpadder traktor help.... probably stupid

ok so i have a usb game pad. it looks exactly like a ps2 controller.

this is probably really dumb and i cant figure it out but.....

i go into xpadder and map out all the buttons to the usb gamepad. i saved all the presets i made for it etc.

and i have xpadder running in the background

i open up traktor go into midi mapping, click add, then i hit midi learn and press the button on the usb gamepad but nothing happens.....

i must be missing a step or something i searched these forums the interweb youtube and no bueno

You need to Right click on each button in Xpadder and select Assignment then choose what key you want it to press.

Why buy something, when you can build it yourself for the double cost?

smooth I want to build my own and I was just wondering what you used and if you just had to map (no firmware programing or anything?) it after you solder everything together?
