    Default IPAD help :D should be a quick answer...

    basically im thinking of getting an ipad... ino that to communicate with a laptop using touch osc you need to use wifi but.... the big question do you need a router or can you set up a wifi to wifi connection like you can with home networks... so does anyone no if you need a router or will this be the cool new wireless controller for traktor

    You mean Ad-Hoc mode. Yeah in theory you can. I havent been able to get it to work. But in the next update you will be able to midi by cable hook up

    You can set it up as adhoc network, it's even recommended for best latency.
    I've been using touch osc for a bit now, it's a lot of fun but nit exactly plug and play....can't wait for the software update to bring native midi support.

    Ad Hoc is the easiest kind of network to set up, and everyone has decent guides on how to make it work. Not a problem.

    chrisw, you have a firewall or something keeping you locked out?

    nope lol ive spent atleast a good 20 hrs trying to get it to work.
