    Default DJ software that doesnt require hardware

    After an alternative to traktor that doesnt require any hardware apart from my laptop.

    any suggestions?

    Ableton, PCDJ, Mixmeister, I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I'm familiar with. What exactly are you looking to do?

    well. i use traktor to do mixes when im on the train etc,

    i wanted to find out if there was an alternative.

    can you use any serato products with a laptop alone?

    Why not use a micro-mini controller like an LPD 8 or something.

    yes, but only to organize songs. in order to play them you need the soundcard (sl3)

    u can get the full verison of virutal dj 7 for free (with out midi control) from there website

    Actually, if I'm not mistaken you can use any of the software options out there w/ a laptop only, but you'll need at least an external soundcard if you want any more pop than ur laptop card can provide. My only question would be why would u want to forego the hardware?
