You need to work on some transitions mate, instead of just fading/cutting to the next song, overlap certain parts - eq to make them fit and make sure they are beatmatched.

Those suddenly silences (stop-starts) absolutely kill the flow of a set.

    We all start somewhere

Im fully aware it dosent flow, this is pretty much the first time ive ever tried proper transitions instead of just "sync sync crossfade" , im fully aware this is shit, but its the first time ive ever recorded myself and id had a few pints too. and jester, ill give it 6 xD!

What do you mean when you say 'proper transitions'? Cos no offense mate, but what you did there was kill one song and drop the next one, and the songs weren't compatible in some cases. You also really need to watch the echo freeze video again to get the hang of it, the idea is to be able to play the new song over the echo out of the old one. I do appreciate you'd had a few though

In essence there's absolutely nothing wrong with sync crossfade! Just try getting the hang of section mixing (finding the right place to drop basically) and learn to ride the EQs.

Have you been doing mostly production with all that gear then?

Pretty much, though my productions didnt go very far either lol!

And by proper transitions i was meaning building one song up then dropping it into the next.

ok, well try having both buildups playing at the same time. If you want you can even loop the buildup to the point where it drops, so you can decide exactly when to drop it. Watch out for having a buildup just playing over and over and over though, cos that sounds stupid. Having any silence where it's not supposed to be kills the mix, you might as well use iTunes.

Yeah i think there was one or two times where id managed to drop it and press play on the Deck B, but the crossfader was still sitting over at A.
