    Default Parade DJ Song Ideas

I was just booked to DJ a parade in Michigan for the Christmas season. I will be on a float while I spin holiday songs (which I will probably just loop ever 30 minutes). But what are some great holiday songs that I should play? They have to be clean, but it'll be cool if there where some hot Christmas remixes out there. This will also be helpful for the christmas DJ gigs coming up

Not sure but I for one hate X-mas music. I get sick of songs really easily and hearing the same ones sense my childhood, i find its kind of annoying and cheezy...you guys can call me the grinch if you want.

Play some dubstep or hardtechno. That will make the parade memorizable for everyone.

Jazz and Swing versions of Xmas classics would be the way to go. A bit of downtempo Blue Note coolness would be the perfect antidote to the christmas fluff.

It's the only way I would be able to cope. The (much harder) alternative is to go "alternative christmas" and trawl the downtempo, indie artists and soundtracks out there for a truly unique Xmas sound.

The Black Eyed Peas have a cover of Little Drummer Boy they performed on TV the other day. It wasn't the full song, but might be worth checking out.

There's some garbage on here, but some good ones, too.

Did the people that book you give you some kind of guidelines as to what type of Christmas music to play? There's a pretty big range of from Mannheim Steamroller to Elvis to Jethro Tull to The Dickies.
