Default KRK Rokit Powered 5 G2 monitors...

Hey all, looking to buy a pair of these as the sound my current 2.1 system knocks out is so fabricated it's a joke. They're small, but that's what I'm after really...

    My questions are:

    1. Has anyone got/used them and what are their opinions on them?

    2. I'm going to get an S4 at some point next year, the connection would just be 2 balanced outs to the ins on the KRK's right?

    3. I would possibly like to add an amp later on, would this be possible?

I have these for over a year in my studio, and love them! the sound is so crystal clear it's amazing!

Yep, that's right, connect to them straight from the s4 and away ya go!

They are powered, so you DON'T need an amp!

I used to own a pair (had to sell due to a move). Imo, these Rokits are a pretty good bang for your buck.

    yes

Sure. The amp wouldn't do anything for the Rokits, though (ldo)

Excellent, do you think you do a size comparison for me please?! As I have no idea? Haha.

Well, I would disagree on the crystal clear sound, at least to me the high and mid ranges sounded quite mushy in comparison to the Yamaha HS-80M.

But really, as far as buying speakers goes, there is only one useful advise to give: Go check them out in a store somewhere and compare with other speakers, hearing is way to subjective for any other approach to really work...

    Aha, that is good advice..!

P.S. Just seen that you can change the voltage on the back, what will it need to be for the UK?
