    Default Anyone not use crossfader?

I was just messing around with the concept of not using the crossfader and just using channel faders like on the Vestax TR1

Anyone who doesnt use ableton do this? If you do, Why did you start? And do you think it limits you?

haven't used the cross fader for ages. There's no real need if you're not scratching. I use the EQs and each channel's specific fader.

No crossfader here unless I'm doing quick drops/cuts of my next track. The crossfader either stays center or I unassign inputs from it. If you've got a midi mixer you could reassign it to some other purpose too.

I use it more and more... but Im using 2 crossfaders.
Ill have 8 breakbeats synced in ableton half of them have no A or B and are going output 1,2 and 3,4 . The other half are A or B and I cut between those on APC40 or Xone 2d. My master is going out on 5,6 and fx out on 7,8.
So I can flick between beats and double flick them into the fx and cut out to only cut them back in again.
The second x fader is on a xone 92 mixer
in the old vinyl cd mixing days I never used the fader once. I preferred the levels because of mixing 4 channels at once

    What's a crossfader?

And by that I mean I never bothered to learn to scratch, so…yeah…I don't think I've ever used a crossfader except to prove to myself that I still couldn't scratch.

1º thing I do when I'm in front of an analogue mixer or download a TSI: disable crossfader.
in my last tsi i use it for monitor mix
    in ableton: dry/wet return fx

Never used the cross fader. Using the up faders gives me so much more control. I like control.

Cross-faders are for cutting and scratching. And that is all.
