Default The click has gone funny on my macbook

My trackpad button has got a weird click to it. Like it has 2 clicks to it when you push it. Im thinkin maybe a bit of debris has gotten in there and makin it click funny. Anyone know experienced anything like this and know how to fix? Im not afraid to open the machine up but just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

    Cheers

Dod it perform like you've done a double click? If you press it once on a window top bar does it minimize the window?

Sounds like something is caught in it, happens to me sometimes with space bar.

    This stuff works wonders:

I think if you pull the battery out you can from the bottom. I've also heard of people folding up a piece of paper and using it to get stuff out. I've never done it though.

Mine started doing that for a while (i have the black one) then stopped - so not sure what caused it but it went away which suggests it is debris.

Worst case scenario, take it to an Apple store. They'll clean it for you, and because the top cases aren't the easiest things to take off…they might just replace it if they "break" it getting it off.

    Yeah id do that.
Apple seem to be pretty compliant with dodgy trackpads.
I took my MBP in and they swapped the trackpad out in an hour and i was on my way.
