I didn't like it...
That thing is huge, couldn't see how you'd put that in a booth easily.
I really thought i'd love it when i first got to see it / have a play with it.

Defo wouldn't swap my vci-100 arcade for it. The buttons are rank on the S4 i thought...
Anyway, just putting that out there (mainly cause I got 1000 posts in sight and I'll kind of post anything right now)

I just got mine today...I have not owned a VCI Arcade but have owned a vci-100 & a vci-300. I will give a full report soon. I was thinking it would be good for home and the x1 for taking out.

I mean, i'm really a two deck kind of dj so have no need for the 4 decks... and the sample deck thing i doubt i would use much.

I just got one, it is big (so the ladies tell me), I haven't got my head completely around the 4 deck or sample recording, but the loop sampling is great, and it's a lot of fun. Really opens up some things that were difficult or impossible on the VCI-100.
Took some getting used to, but it grew on me very quickly.
Oh, and the soundcard is great so far, haven't put it on a big system yet, but on the home amp there's no difference from my old audio 4.
Time will tell.....

Yeah in fairness, it looked like there was a learning curve... which I appreciate.
Am up for hearing from people who sold their VCI-100 SE and slightly regret it, just wondering?
Cause I know a lot of people must have bought it online based on the videos / hype and now they've had time, are they stoked or slightly bummed?

my m8 got it last week and we both spend the all evening the other day playing with it...
After several hours with the S4 I'm definitely sure I'm gonna stick with my 2 X1+audio8 combo... didnt really feel it, I mean, it's def fun but not something that I'll gig with it...

Really stupid / somewhat OT question: Any idea if there's a mapping for the s4 for traktor pro? I find myself using 3 decks more and more so unless the s4 software lets the 3rd and 4th decks be optional sample decks... it will actually limit me.
