Default Loop recording, S4 style, on Ableton?

I have two laptops one running traktor, and my brothers thinkpad running ableton for now so i can muck about with a new style, playing loops over what im DJing in traktor,

But reading about the S4 gave me the idea, that if i input one EXT from my mixer to my thinkpads soundcard and have the volume on my apc all down at zero, and hit record on and off at parts, basically recording parts of the soung, and overloop them over my mix?

may sound a bit far-fetched and ive propably lost you. but im just wondering if anyone else has tried looping between ableton and traktor

You'll probably want to check out Looper then: http://www.ableton.com/pages/live_8/announcement/looper
