    Default AKAI MPK Mini

    Hey, so i looked around a bit, but i just picked up the MPK Mini

    do i need to do anything special to hook it up to ableton (import a new map/ map it myself)?? or does it just work outta the box.

    sorry ive been at work since 5 am and im slippin a bit.

    mapping it was incredibly easy. abletons much better than traktor about that.

    it was a bit quirky tho. i use it mostly for the keyboard now than any of the other fetures.

    this might be obvious, but it's something i encountered as a small problem when mapping to Traktor as an experiment: the pads send the same note signals as the lower keys, so they would trigger the same things.

    I am still waiting for the unite, is it automatically mapped to the keyboard? How do you map the pads to impulse?

    Just like the other akai products I think it will already map automatically. You might need to install drivers and that's it. I have an LPK 25 but kind of hate not having pitch and mod wheels on it.

    Check akai's site. They might have a mapping for it.

    just open the mpk editor and change the notes.simple
