Default Do I buy The S4 Or Not? Help please!

    Hi Guys,

I gave looked at all the videos for the S4.
Yeah Ian will be able to demo the sh*t out of a modified old type writer if you give it to him. So he makes everything look and act cool.

The S4 is not available here in SA so there's no demo model to go look at or feel.

So I'll have to order from wherever I can get a decent price and shipping with not having to wait 4 weeks.

    Apart from that.

I'm selling my old equipment IE:
    CDJ 100's + behringer BCD3000 and Nocturn 25.

The S4 looks easy with the software or it would take massive midi construction to do anything with Traktor Pro S4.

I love the loop function. Will make my DJ setup much better.
Never done the hot cue juggling and now it looks more doable with this setup.

My old stuff just made me tired trying to get it all to work together.

Other than that, it would be easier to get help here on this forum if I have equipment that more people will be using.

So, Should I make the move, or are there other options with Traktor Pro S4.
Keep in mind I don't have any knowledge nor understanding for programming shift buttons and commands.

Any recommendation on a place where I can get a good price on the above would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Because the software and hardware were made to work together by the company that makes the software, YOU don't have to know anything about programming or shift commands. It's all done for you, just plug and play. And it's done very well.

    Hey VanGogo,

How are you keeping. Jip That is why I prefer it.
You and another friend here tried to teach me some, but I can anything with a PC but Midi is not my things.

@ Becondemi, I've emailed DJTT, awaiting a response.

I see guys mentioning that they paid 688 and so forth for it. But will have to wait and see.

    Thanks

the S4 is a very cool piece of kit and well worth the money...

but do you have a macbook pro or a good enough spec PC ?
because if you dont, you may have some clipping and/or CPU spiking issues etc
and that can be very frustrating to say the least.

but if you do then the S4 is sweet

    Hi IrishBlaggard,

Thank you for the heads up.
Yes a Macbook will be with that.
Windows proved it not worthy of being used.

One question: Does the S4 have an auxiliary input for an external device???
I most times run and external mp3 player with back ground music while everyone's waiting for the bride or during the eating session.

Not to put DJTT down in anyway, but that is false. You can use coupons for DJ sites online and get it for cheaper.
