    Just a quick qeustion Would u rather 100 payed to listen to your mixtape or 10'000 people listened to it for free

    10,000 listen to it free. If anything it should be the artists whose songs were used in the mixtape getting the money anyways.

    Most mix CDs, even by really talented DJs, are kinda weak anyway. If mine was awesome enough that 10,000 people listened to it, I'd probably get a gig or two out of it which is cool w/ me.

    Just a quick answer - 10K - but if I had that kind of audience, I'd be worth paying for and would ensure the producers got their royalties.

    10K.... totallly, the exposer would be better in the long run then the 500 bux i wud nake off a mixed tape/cd/mp3.

    Title should've probably read "Should people pay for DJ Mixes?" of which I'd say, "If you can get $, then sure." As for songs created by artists, I'd say most definitely because if the artists don't make $, then the DJ will have nothing to play.
