    Default Help**what Can I Do With Traktor/xone 1d And A Launchpad!? Help**

Alright guys, I'm new to this forum..
I've done some DJ'ing before with CDJ's but want to get into
digital DJ'ing. I've got Traktor scratch pro, Xone 1D and a Launchpad.
At the minute I've downloaded 'Katapult' for the Launchpad, set it up to
work in traktor with the given TSI file and routed all in puts and out puts
but for some strange reason deck B sounds 'Muffled' very quiet compared
to Deck A?? And also the crossfader and volume controls can't be adjusted!?

Can anyone help me out please?
    Cheers!
    Sean

Have you got your mixing mode on internal? if its on external then x/y faders cant be adjusted, also check your deck B gain and filter.

Imo what i would do is use the xone 1d as a midi mixer (still in internal mode remember) and the launchpad for play, cue, sync, hot cues etc.

This. There's tons of buttons on that launch pad to map to whatever you want.

Thanks for that lads, that's all I need is guys like you to point me in the right direction! That internal mixer mode has sorted the problem right out!

Just a bit thrown as to what i should map each controller to...
I've looked into using this traktor mapping, think it would be sufficient?

Also I think it would be good enough to use Katapult defult traktor mappings for the launchpad as in split it into to Deck A and Deck B. Play, cue, pause, hot cue etc... Then loops, volume controls and EQ's

    Think this sounds ok?

    Thanks again guys,
    Helps much appreciated!
    Peace

This is what i started out doing (except i used an APC40, and the tsi i made for that is long gone,

First of all, are you planning on using two decks or 4 decks, if 4, use the coloured lights on your launchpad to define a 4x4 grid midifighter style. your xone to control track selection, faders, etc. etc.

also, cant watch the video. so im clueless to this info youve given ;d

    Alright mate.
Got the Xone setup using his TSI and he's got a nice overlay with it, which i'll get printed and laminated. Anyway basically he's using it as a 4 deck controller with shift and focus' so you get the most from a small controller I take it...
Controlling track selection, browsing, FX, looping, so pretty much everything.

I was going to use 2 decks, but I take it 4 will be better? Not too sure of strengths and weaknesses, as in why you need 4 decks?

Not sure what you mean by the midifighter style mate, I've watched some videos on that but don't really get why I'd need it, seems to be for more live remixes and 'controllerism' am I right? Or.... Wrong hha.

    Cheers bro
    Peace
