    Default Remixing songs?

I know that this is a pretty much (very!) noob question, but that means it won't be hard to answer hehe.

I've been tracking down songs that I'd like to play once I start DJing, mostly into electro house songs, and I've come across a few guys who have made absolutely insane remixes. "Zedd" if you've heard of him, makes some crazy stuff. But how does he do it? He takes plain jane songs and turns them into insane electro house remix tracks that I can't get enough of. I'd love to know how he does this.

    What programs?
    Where to learn?
    Who else here does this?

    D:

    Thanks tons =)

ableton live is probably the best bet, you can learn on you tube,
look up dj vespers, tom cosm, BachelorMachinesTV, dubspot.

who else, well, i'm sure they'll link their tunes on here

Ableton is the program for you, and you need a lot of time on your hands, I've spoken to zedd about it actually. He's really good at what he does but he also put all his time and heart into it.

prepare to spend months on one track my friend!

and then prepare yourself to throw that tune away immediately after finishing.

rinse, repeat, learn, and eventually, make your mark.

Though I use Ableton, that isn't necessarily the best program for you. I used FL Studio for a long time, and despite the negative rap it gets from a lot of people, it is a solid program. Take the time to try out a variety of DAWs before you make the investment in one of them.

(It's worth noting that the reason I switched to Ableton wasn't necessarily because it was more powerful, but rather because I liked the performance aspect of it.)

Take the time to research what programs are available to you and then pick the one that feels most natural to you.

Man, sometimes I wish I had gone for a career as spambot, taking acid and then posting weird posts in random threads all day sounds interesting
