    Default Custom Traktor Timecode?

    Hi all,
So I was trawling t'interwebz last night to find some new slipmats and came across these: http://www.chemical-records.co.uk/sc...se&Track=SICW7

I think these are SICK and would love some for traktor. Screw neon timecode, I want patterns!

So, has anyone seen any of these kicking around for traktor? Does NI even let other people make timecode vinyl? If not, why not? Because I would definitely buy some DJTT branded ones

Seems like a missed opportunity to me. The speed at which the neons sold out here in the UK was incredible, its pretty much a guarantee that some pretty timecode like that would also sell out instantly.

Is it difficult to make vinyl like this? Does this process even create decent vinyl, or is the end result less than desirable?

Ive had a quick mooch around and I cant find any company in the UK that does this and the few companies ive found in america only sell in massive quantities. I dont need 500 timecodes

I don't know if they're as durable as regular vinyl, but I do love a good picture disk

I have DJ Fresh's Hypercaine as a picture vinyl and it looks sick on the TT!

Does anyone know if the timecode signal from vinyl is the same frequency as CD's?
Would I be able to rip a cd and manufacture a working timecode vinyl with that sound?

FYI: The NI timecode is copyrighted and, despite allowing the burning of timecode wavs to CD it is actually illegal to 'press' timecode vinyl.

Would NI mind..? Who knows, but i do know that an EDM artist, on he forum, asked if he could press his own timecode and he was told a flat NO, he couldnt.

Just passing on info. Not judging. Id be up for some personalised timecode if the opportunity arose and was legal.

Thanks for the knowledge Karlos, I was hoping you'd pipe up

Kinda sucks that its illegal, It'd be a lucrative little business opportunity. But I guess thats the point!

Lets pester NI and get them to come out with some sexy timecode
