If you are an Übernerd like myself, you would find the block of aluminum to be much sexier than a piece of plastic. The resistance to wear only makes up a small part of it's wonder. Once you include aluminum's heat dissipating capabilities, along with the manufacturing process required to mill out one of these machines the end result is indeed pure sex.Sexy as what - a block of aluminum? Wow, that IS sexy.

Or a cyclist. Before the advent of carbon fibre, Cannondale did amazing stuff with Al (that covers the British AND American spelling). I still ride an Al hard-tail Stumpjumper, so I get Al . Apropos 'heat dissipation', I do challenge the 'Macs' don't get hot' issue. My wife's MBP generates as much heat as my Asus.
hmmm cant seem to find a pic on google. you got a pic of that, I wanna see.[/QUOTE]
Try asus.com and check out the NJ series. Developed in collaboration with Altec Lansing and the speakers are housed in the channel at the back to produce a 'sub' effect. Best sound you've heard on laptop. There's a limited ed. white version. Impractical yes, but I'm anal.
The problem with the mac vs pc arguement is that there is that there are only a handful of mac models and thousands of pc's configured with different hardware....
Oh and the sexy statement...for 760 bucks you can get a dell adamo

Will always be an infinite debate because, as you say, it's not comparing apples to apples (OK - bad pun).
