I have personally never used 128 but i know some of the local dj's, around my area do and when i go see them play the crowd never notices the difference.
    I play everything Indie/ Rock/ HipHop/ Cheese/ Electro/ Dubstep and anything that sounds good

yeah, just put some reverb on it and clip the mixer and they'll think it's a remix.

Is it that time of the year again? Must be, since we're having this discussion again

I'll just repeat my opinion, since it hasn't changed-

Yes, you can hear a difference in MP3s and Wave or CDs. But to tell you the truth, I only once experienced this when playing around with "the best" headphones that cost about as much as a car. When you have that kind of quality sound systems you naturally have to check every part of the chain from the medium to your ear, but to be honest, I can do with a lot less- and I'm not growing tired of hearing nice music in 320-MP3-Format on a decent sound system.
I mix stuff on my things...

To be honest to him 320s probably sound fucking terrible. He's spent his entire life training his ear to pick out the tiniest little differences in audio quality.

This guy is like an audiophile nazi....everything is going to sound like shit to him unless if its the absolute original. Atleast he agrees that WAV is "good enough" because most of us "djs" can't find audio that we want to play at 192 kbps let alone WAV.

Aside from the rant I want to hear one of these systems in action, and what other companies are copying this idea because I would generally want to remember those systems as well.

Funktion One systems are the dog's bollocks, but yeh I suppose if you're the founder of that kind of company you're expected to hate anything but the best!

Sad thing about Macarena (the club I mentioned) is that most of the music you hear in there is minimal, which isn't really my thing. I mean, I enjoy a bit of it, but later in the night I'd prefer to hear something really pumping those bass bins!
