ive just started using goo.gl to track the growth of my pages.
google tracks the number of clicks and stuff, so i know whats being used and whats not.
also, your shortened URLs can be made into QR codes (people who go to the URL via QR codes add to your click count)
they look like this (leads to my fan page at http://www.goo.gl/viLi5):
you can install a number of apps for ios and and android that allow you to take a picture, and then be taken to the link.
from what ive heard, these are rising in popularity, and people (especially in urban areas) actually look at these when they see them.
heres an explanation:

slap these on some stickers and youre advertising yourself.
Or, if you post mixes, make your cover 1429 x 1417, and slap the code to your site in the corner. (this would make more sense to do on larger sites)
ive just started using these as a way for people to share my page. any one else use any of these? (Google FTW!)
i might fire up gimp this weekend and use my logo as the background
