Default Dont you just hate broken cross faders

My cross fader broke today get though about 3 a year really should buy a better mixer. The just after I watched a video of shiftee at a club where he had a broken cross fader. Why dont clubs sort this out I hate it. If every1 bitched about this they would soon fix it. It like employing a machanic but only giving him half the tools

Many crossfader are user replacables, often more expensive than if you change only the fader itself, but you don't need any soldering skills.

I don't use crossfader myself, but I like to have workable things on hand.

How the hell do you break a cross fader? I've been scratching for a good few years, and I've ever broke a fader. Worn a few out, though...

If you're breaking 'em regularly, you need to sort your technique out. Maybe you're being a bit too heavy handed?

just wear out and get bleed. I practice about 10 hours a week. Yea replacing them are fine. I just dont understand why clubs dont bother. They really should I think. Im from the UK and the problem is most ppl dont care about mixing there happy to pay 15 quid to hear a human jukebox

pretty much the same at 80% of the clubs here too.

There was even on guy that was "djing" with winamp! he'd cue a track and let it "crossfade" without any other work to it.

I can't believe he's getting paid for it honestly.

If the crossfader on the S4 broke (me not being very handy), there will be a problem haha.
