    Default Guitar Center Question

Has anyone successfully haggled with GC on used gear? I am looking at a Technics 1200 that has been up on the website for almost a month. They want $289.99 pre-tax. I am thinking $250.

talk to the pro audio manager. guitar center pro people are more open to it than the store manager.

their policy on haggling changed drastically when they were bought out by mitt romney's company. for the most part, haggling ended. but guitar center pro people have a little more wiggle room than the average associate.

i would not talk to the store manager if possible.

it'll be tough though with 1200's as every associate in that department knows that they'll sell no matter what eventually. not like were talking about a gemini mixer or an epiphone guitar here.

    good luck
