    Default Ableton Live 7 LE

So I went online and bought myself Ableton Live 7 LE, set it up and started to play with it, everything was okay.

Then I wanted to do the thing I bought it for, slice some beats (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lOzMWGBOH4) and tadaaa, I discovered that I have to upgrade my ableton for about 300 euros or something to do this.

I am quite bummed out now since I discovered that it seems that I cannot sync Ableton to Traktor aswell in LE.

So my question to all you "Abletoners" out there, is there anything cool I can do with my LE?
Cause I dont see me spending 300 euros on 2 functions.

i did the same thing! kinda... slice to midi from a big draw! and a big let down when i discovered i couldnt do it with LE.
i have actually dj'd with it at a few parties and things, but its not as fun as traktor, and the transport controls aren't as intuitive. no using hot cues and all that.
so i guess you've got a good production tool now, if you're into that.
or you could also run Deckadance as a vst plug-in!

There are hot cues if you chop a song up into several sections then trigger the differet sections of the song with different midi buttons, still really just doesnt compare with traktor when it comes to live reordering of a track though.

I dont see why you couldnt manually sync Abelton to Traktor, thats what i have been doing recently as it stays in time alot longer. The only disadvantage is that i cant change the tempo thoughout the mix. Then again i have never used Ableton LE so i am not sure what the limitations are haha.

I have not tried to manually sync with traktor yet, it wont be hard i just have to set the same tempo and press play at the right time. But if the tempo changes, there is alot of things to think off, so it will punish your creativity I think.

Yeah kilbot I have tried the production side a bit and I think that it is quite good for that.
One thing i miss though is a "real" Synthesizer, how can I get a hold of that?
I saw 2 different synthesizers on abletons website for 120 euro. And no way in hell are they worth that, then I'd rather work in Reason or Logic.

    Thanks for the answers guys
