Default adding Fighting Stick 3 for cue points

    Hi,
First I want to say thanks to everyone on this site and forum for helping me get up to speed with Traktor so quickly.

One thing I'm having trouble with is cue points on my DJTT-mapped VCI-100 - I'm paranoid to forgetting to change over from juggle mode and messing the track up that's playing to the crowd.

I've got a Fighting Stick 3 that i thought i could use but i don't want to import a full mapping import - i just want to use it for cue points sometimes, when i be bothered to drag it out. Most of all I don't want to mess up my VCI mapping.

I can't find how to do it though - could someone point me in the right direction. I'm sure it's been discussed and I'm just looking in the wrong place.

Sorry, that was a bit long-winded.

You could map it as a generic midi device and it won't affect your VCI mapping at all. I do believe you'll need some type of translator to get the signals converted to midi. I don't really know what a fighting stick 3 is, but I'm guess it's some type of game controller.

thanks photojojo. I'll look into the translator thing.
Yeah, the FS3 is an arcade-style joystick with 8 midifighter style buttons.

that's exactly it. Cost me £10.
Big and bulky but a decent temporary measure while I decide on whether a midifighter is right for me.

Could anyone recommend a translator? I'm on a mac so is Midihid a good option?

I hear lots of talk about Bomes, but I've never used it.

You should check out this article...

Basically you're going to have to convert the HID messages to midi and there are a few programs which help you do that. That's a cool-looking controller I might add. Might be good for a mod!!
