from what i'm reading about it, it's just a low latency WDM audio devices for laptops...but i'm not sure, could anyone talk it up or down?

Works wonders for my laptop. Just recently got an update from HP for my audio drivers and now mt realtech drivers sound like piss in traktor and nothing but static comes out but Asio4all made it sound perfect. HP what has you done?!?!?

But also the latency is really good with it.

I just use it for when I use my Maschine. It just enables me to play my music through my laptop instead of having to route it to some external sound card.

I like it. Without it my Maschine would be worthless.

Without doubt one of the best tweaks you can make.

I used to use it with my old computer.

Basically, made using my MIDI controller go from pretty much unusable (I think ~40ms of latency) to virtually no latency (<10ms), or at least no real noticeable latency.

Then again, it doesn't work for everyone. But give it a shot.

The latest version is 2.1. I use it when i'm too lazy to move 2 meters and grab my audio 4 lol. Definitely a big improvement over your standard audio drivers, whatever the card. Also vital if you run FL Studio etc.
