Vci-100 new user: Help

hi to all, i'm ruben from italy. i hope you can understand my bad english!

i've bought an used vci-100 grey to use with traktor pro 1.2.7 on my mac. i would like to know

1) how can i check my firmware version?

2) is it important to upgrade the firmware?

3) is it important to have a new mapping?

5) how can i search through the song with jogwheel?

6) why the knob above 1/2 fx button doesn't work? i've tried all buttons faders and knobs but nothing!

7) why some buttons have the same utility?

Hello, and welcome to the community. If you bought a silver VCI it is most likely firmware version 1.1 or 1.2 If you want to use the mappings we provide here for free it is important to upgrade your firmware. The reason why some of your buttons have the same function is because it's a bug in the old firmware, which we solved with our custom firmware. I would recommend upgrading your firmware and getting a new overlay to work with our mappings.

ok i've upgraded to firmware 1.4, but all buttons are different! i think i must get a new overlay: does it exist only in black? i would like to have alway gray colour.

while i order the overlay, can i use a more familiar mapping?
