    # Upgrade Kit for S4 users
    # allows you to control pitch, scratching, and transport functions of the S4 via analog turntables or CDJs
    # upgrade kit includes TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2 software plus 2 timecode vinyls / 2 CDs
    # does not require the TRAKTOR AUDIO 10 interface, since you connect your turntables & CD decks to the S4 audio inputs

That's pretty much exactly how I guessed it was going to play out.

so, i own a s4...what's to stop me from getting scratch duo for a low low price and THEN getting a free upgrade versus spending 150 bucks?

nothing really, supposing someone will sell it without the audio4

edit: or win this bid ending in 18hs and get a backup audio 4 http://cgi.ebay.com/Native-Instrumen...#ht_500wt_1156

I would be careful with getting Duo, It'll be watered down in version 2 as well and you may end up paying more in the end. If I was going to do something like that it would be find a TSP for what I'm guessing will be $300-$350 once the new software is released. Then if you take the $140 out you would have paid for the S4 upgrade to TSP2 your only spending $160-$210 for a perfectly good Audio 8 as a backup/extra soundcard.

so...with both those answers being said, is it just best to pay the 140 bucks?
