most head phone connectors are detachable, the are mostly standard 1/8 inch phono plugs with an adapter to make them 1/4 inch...
but im guessing you have got a 1/4 inch and need to downsize the connecter ?
does your connector look like this ?
if so... you need an adabter like this...

Are you talking about the adapter above or do you want something that will let you cue the music through the laptop?
First yes i need one of those adapters for my personal use and second yes a freind of mine needs something that will let you cue the music through his laptop? He has just started and doesnt want to spend a fortune, he uses virtual dj 6
He needs a sound card. Something like the Audio 2 from Native instruments or the DJIO from Numark.
Or one of these:

as said above the audio 2 dj is an awesome soundcard for the price.
those little dongles are rediculously bad, i do not recommend ever buying these.
But they DO give you an extra out for cueing. The next cheapest alternative is the Audio 2 at £80.
£3 for the dongle, or £80 for the Audio 2. I know what I'd go for if I was starting out.
