Just as a quick note, I know a lot of people that have had a lot of success with FL Studio to create all kinds of recordings at a really professional level.

Project 5 Might be a good step up, and it leads right into using Cubase.

What kind of music are you recording? I've done most of my work with a Shure SM58, which is a wonderful tank of a mic

Well recently iv just been recording my roommate who raps. So basically all hip hop.

I just dont like the flow of how things work in FL for recording.

Normally i just use my low grade drum mics...that get the job done, but my roommate has a lower quality shure.
