Default Help me guys, i'm conbobulated ...

Soo i'll be startng a 2 year course in urban & electronic music next year.

And the course covers everything from basics to advanced music production, audio & midi, the business end of it, mixing & mastering etc etc ...

I've been told by a friend that the more i know going into the course the better, And basically i've been producing a while now just using ableton and vst's. But i plan to buy some hardware ...

And i'm caught between the maschine and a second hand electribe which i can get for almost half price in great condition ...
Which would be better for me ?

(Bare in mind i produce minimal techno, tech house, tribal house.)

    Thanx in advance guys.

No idea on hardware choice - but do you mean discombobulated?

    [dis-kuhm-bob-yuh-leyt]
–verb (used with object), -lat·ed, -lat·ing.
to confuse or disconcert; upset; frustrate:

    AFAIK combobulated isn't a word.

(FWIW I'm torn between an AKAI MPD32/26 and a an MPK25 for Ableton stuff ...)

I'd say undisconbobulatorily that you should get the gear you feel will suit you best in the long term and not let the course dictate your tool of choice undisirregardless of all the hype around x product.
good luck though, sounds like a fun experience and I hope you enjoy it.
