    Default Mackie d.2 Mixer - Firewire & Win 7

    Hello DJTT Forum,

I just recently acquired a Mackie d.2 2-channel mixer, in hopes of using the firewire inputs on the mixer to route from Traktor. When I tried to install the drivers for the mixer, I found I was unable to get it to install properly (it would show up as unable to start device in the 'Device Manager'). I did some Google-ing and found that there were problems with installing it on Vista, but I can't seem to find any threads on installing in Win 7.

If anyone has any possible solutions, or even just any opinions on the mixer itself, I would love to hear it.

    Thanks.

Prepare for some heat when you do get it going :-) I've got a D4 Pro that you could cook a mid set snack on after it's been running for a while, apparently that's a sign of good components lol, be sure to give it room to breathe tho in all seriousness.
Aside from the well documented issues of the series (heat, paint rubbing off, sharp logarithmic fader curve) I'm still v.happy with mine and haven't heard a better Traktor sound card yet.
