help with numark mixtrack
I have a numark mixtrack controller and I usually pair it up with audio2dj on my laptop.
I was using tracktor pro and then came one day when I plugged the controller into the usb port and started traktor, but the computer didn't seem to recognize the controller anymore.
At first I thought the controller died on me, but I tried connecting it to my other laptops and computer and it worked. So I assume the problem lies with the current laptop.
I tried changing the ports but it didn't work.
I tried resetting the usb ports in the device manager but it still didn't work.
I tried re-installing traktor but it's still a no.
I'm at my wits end.
Appreciate some help.
Thanks!

Mac or PC? Few things to try, back up your data first including your collection.nml & .tsi.
Make sure your laptop is plugged in to a wall outlet.
Try to cancel out conflicts (Additional devices, programs, etc.).
Reinstall usb drivers. Check for bad driver via device manager (! Triangle symbol next to the drivers name).
Run a windows repair from the CD.
System restore.
Reinstall OS.

What brand of laptop?
Toshiba = no bueno
Specs? (Processor, RAM,)
Could try:
Reinstall drivers directly from NI.
Make sure tsi is set for Mixtrack, and not Mixtrack LE.
It is an unknown fact that Mr. T is the original Black Power Ranger.

im using a dell laptop.
anyway I fixed it by re-installing windows xp and traktor.
Then I think I know the problem. The fault doesn't lie with any of the hardware, but during the initial setup I might have probably chosen "audio interface only"
so maybe tt's why it refuses to read the numark mixtrack as a controller.
haha what a stupid mistake.
thanks for the input guys! appreciate it. I'll go back to mixing now
