Default Anyone ever used Peak Pro? >.>

I just thought i'd post and see if anybody has anything good to say about this program.

I study Music Tech; Audio systems at London Met, and we've just finished a project where we have been using Peak Pro 6 to arrange and edit some material...

And it's USELESS, every single one of us have had issues at some point or another with it crashing, losing playlist data and not applying DSP...i've never worked with such a piece of shit program.

    And it costs like...£370?

Audacity does a better job and it's FREE.

Just a rant/warning/question to anybody who has thought about/is going to/ or does use Peak Pro 6.

Yeah i use Audacity, i don't understand why anybody would pay for Peak :S

The technicians, the lecturers and all the students admit it's shit, but they won't switch off it!
Probably on the principle that they've already equiped like 100 Imacs with it, so now they're stuck with it.

I just had to have a rant, been forced to use it for a month (No external VSTs allowed, or anything) then i come to finish up today as the deadline is tomorrow, and it's somehow managed to wipe all my DSP.

I've known that Bias Peak is good for mastering, but that's about it. I might try it but still I don't think I'd use it over Ableton or ProTools.
