I think the Grade School element of this thread is people trying and failing to make up various excuses for theft.

again you fail to use the appropriate tone.

what at least some in here try to discuss is not whether or not theft of software is illegal in the current state of the law, but rather the ideas behind those laws. eg. whether or not our copyright system might be worn out, and some laws might need an inspection.
