Default Mixing hip hop with Traktor proi just cant make it

hi all i am new on this forum been reading the posts for long time now.
i have a question that may be some of you can answer.
i normally mix electronic music and beatmatch them without any problem.
now i been trying to do it with hip hop or rnb just to see how i goes and just cant make it
i am using traktor pro and my laptop to mix combine with a xone 4d

thanks to you all for your answers

    Welcome to the forums

Saying "just cant make it" isnt very descriptive - maybe you could be more specific by telling us what in particular your having trouble with ?

I think he means he cant get the beats to match automatically. Do you?

Are you using beatgrids or trying to manually sync ?

beatgrid you tracks @ the first clap or snare, and beatmix like electro. Instead of starting on the first kick drum, you start off the clap/snare.

such is the nature of knowledge

on topic- ive found from the limited amounts of hiphop that i have gridded, that hiphop never has a consistant beat all the way thru, any breakdowns/bridges etc seem to be out of time, and i have noticed the odd tempo change, its real weird i cant get my head around it, i didnt try for long tho its not my scene
