    Default Speakers for beginner DJing

    Hello,

I just recently bought some turntables, and now need speakers. Any suggestions would be helpful because I am just beginning my ventures into the world sound equipment! I don't need monitor speakers, just a simple, fairly cheap two speaker and sub combo. I have done some searching, but find am finding it hard to pin-point what would be right for me.

$350-400 is the most I can pay, but would rather them be in the range of $150-200.

Thank you so much for your help, it is much appreciated.

Check the search bar dude. Someone asks that exact same question at least once every couple days.

p.s. Welcome to the DJTT Forums. Let this be as much of an invaluable resource as it is to me and so many others.

Thanks for the links, but they're mostly about Studio Monitors. I've heard that you don't need studio monitors if you're just djing in your bedroom.

true, but for your budget there should be something suitable in there somewhere, and studio monitors are mostly what people on here use for there bedroom.

me myself i use portable PA speakers in my room because i like to shake the floors and walls

If I had to do it all over again, i'd go search thrift stores for old big ass speakers to make my world thud rumble (See what I did there?! Qbert better pay me). Seriously go down to your local thrift stores and look for big cheap ass speakers.

Studio monitors are amazing if you just want a good set of speakers to listen to yourself DJing. As mentioned above, that's what most people here use. I myself had the same question a while ago and I ended up picking up KRK Rokit6s. They are simply awesome.

hmmm well if you wanna spend some 600 to 650 for some good 15 inch powered speakers.. I hear the behringers 215D hit at 550 watts...

I'm actually looking at getting them for small party's and medium venues.. cuz I don't wanna carry my matrix v1000 around .. sub is too heavy for one person lol... I say you would be happy with them... but it all depends how much you want to spend... I see 400 max.. save a little more and invest on some good sounding ones... that won't hurt the wallet but will get you more gigs... then upgrade... hehe...

    peace..

p.s has anybody used those speakers... I hear good reviews on them... I hear the mackie thumps 15 inch speakers clip fast.. but this are good.. with a good low hit... so it's getting my attention..

speakers for 400 bucks.. maybe american audio hehe.. ??
