    Default 4 EQ MIXER Question

Why the hell aren't there more mixers with 4 eq's instead of 3.. As example the Xone 92.. They showed the world that 4 eq's ROCKS and still noone follows the masters.. WHY??

Traktor integrated the 4 eq's from the xone92 but I have an external mixer and it's a shame I have to use 3 eq's

Just buy a Xone 92 you say? Do you have that kinda money??

I agree. I like four eq mixing a lot. ANd now that TPro has kills on the four channels this is an added bonus

it does seem like a simple implimentation. though I'm not sure there's much demand for it. most mixing is a little rough around the edges; people aren't remastering tracks on stage.

I myself have recently accepted 2 band eq, such as the old 05pro mixers as a viable option. just in time, the 05 now has 3 band!

For controllerism 4 bands it too many bands to have to tweak.

I don't really think so, Bento. I think we can get the tweaking down pretty easily.

    But I'm biased, I like 4 bands.

For controllerism, I am doubting 4... Thinking 3EQs are more than enough....

For regular mixing with long and smooth transitions, I think 4EQs are one of the best options.

4 band is nice, i used it in traktor because the classic doesn't completely kill the low. i then found out the P600 EQ mode does so i switched to that.

So i basically used 4 band just so the low did a full cut but it ended up being too many knobs to tweak. I definitely see the merits in it and don't mind the feel but for me it's not worth it.

What we need is an EQ on an xy pad with loads of gesture sensing, 8 strips of leds and mapped to an EQ 8 . That way you could literally draw your eqs with your finger and use gesture sensing technology to morph/tweak the EQ. You have the glory of bands of EQ's while being super simple to use and most imporantly super quick.
