Default have question about behringer BCD3000, hlp plz

cant formulate it to be well understood rite away, so i'll go with example

can anybody tell me, if, say, i'm using ableton live and bcd3000 only, can i do so?:
    1. route signal from 1st bcd input to ableton track 1
    2. route signal from 2nd bcd input to track 2
    3. throw smth to track 3: samples or vst, doesnt matter
4, get the mixed (in1+in2+comp) sound from bcd output?

    thanks in advance!

sry if the question is too lame

I'm not 100% familiar with the audio interface on the BCD3000, but what exactly is it you're trying to plug into the inputs? external audio sources for effects use in ableton?

only one of the deck inputs is line switchable, so if it were 2 line inputs that would be a problem.

once you get everything into ableton, which may or may not require another audio interface (sound card), it's easy enough to route everything into one master output channel.

You can, but the BCD soundcard has a quite high noise floor IMO so you won't get such a clean end product.

oh, thanks for clearing out my question, i very appreciate this

and thanks for hint about noize lvl.
how high is it? so high that bcd is unusable at live gigs? or it's just bad for recording in 'studio'?

i'll google it for sure, but your input would be great too

I wouldn't use plug it to a big PA (where this hiss is amplified quite a lot) nor in studio situation. This noise is also present in the outputs, so it will make your ears get tired sooner than they should.

    Not flaming, I owned one.

I had a 2k but i discovered after i bought it (admittedly very cheap on ebay, my first controller ) that there are no mac drivers for the sound card, a problem they fixed for the 3k but never did for the 2k.

Some hero created a midi driver to use it with mac, but it wasn't long before I switched. In fact I still have it in a box if you want it
