    Default traktor crash

    hey guys

my traktor pro 2 has completely stopped working now, it loads up then crashes, it states traktor 2 has encountered a major problem and has to be teminated.

i have re-installed the programme, but that hasnt worked. im not sure what else to do. the only thing i have done on my laptop since it was working properly was de-frag it.

any ideas on how to fix this or has it happend to any of you?

    cheers

wtf? my post is at top? lol

do you get a 'more details' option when the box comes up after crash?
what audio interface are you using?
and what controller you using? if any, and when do you plug it in and turn it on?

my initial thoughts are hardware, e.g incorrect audio set-up depending on interface, or something from the controller.
or possible something in registry. we'll cover the hardware before start exploring that

Whoooaaaa post order mind fuck. Brad, how did you reply 3 and a half hours before the question was asked!

You might need to uninstall and make sure your settings files are removed, but I'd get onto Karlos Santos about this. He tends to know about which individual files cause certain problems.

i use an audio 2 dj and kontrol x1. i dont get a more options on the dialog box, it crashes as it updates the collection, and at that point no hardware is plugged in.

i'm gonna take a shot at a dodgy audio files, or it doesn't like the location you've got set in preferences.
do you have time to to cancel the update on start-up? and check your file locations in prefs

do you mean the consistency check? or just the normal update at bottom of screen on load?
